Volunteer to walk in the parade! Volunteer sign ups will close November 14, 2024.

The Novant Health Thanksgiving Eve Parade relies on a dedicated team of volunteers to ensure the parade continues to entertain and delight audiences on the street and watching on television. It takes 1,000 dedicated volunteers to produce the parade. Working together, our volunteers help create excitement and continue the tradition of the Thanksgiving Eve Parade.

The Novant Health Thanksgiving Eve Parade offers several volunteer opportunities, providing a role to fit every interest and ability. We are looking for individuals and groups who are interested in using their time and talent to support this Charlotte tradition. Volunteers must be 16-years-old to be a balloon carrier or walk alone as a costume walker. An adult may accompany a child 8-years-or-older.

Must be able to attend mandatory volunteer training in October. However, volunteers can sign up through November 14. Training will take approximately 1.5 hours and you have the option to choose one session to attend that day (9am, 11am, or 1pm). For questions or concerns, please contact Bryan Paschal at
